and build a highly successful marketing coaching
& consulting business
I've
been helping people with their marketing since
1984.
I'm
Robert Middleton. Since that time I've grown from a
struggling self-employed consultant to one of the
best know marketing consultants and coaches in the
world. I was so successful in growing my
business that the demand exceeded my capacity to
serve clients. In 2002 I switched from working with
clients individually to working with them in
groups. At one point I was working with over 60
people at a time. And even then I couldn't meet the
demand.
In
the fall of 2006 I decided the only way to go was
to train and certify other marketing coaches in my
marketing methodologies. I am currently working
with twenty five Action Plan Marketing Coaches who
are all successfully growing their businesses. I'd

The
Demand for Marketing Assistance
Since
starting my business in 1984 two things have become
very clear to me. First, there are literally
hundreds of thousands of Independent Professionals
who need marketing assistance (coaches,

accountants, financial planners, executive

are going into business every single day. Second,
these Independent Professionals are willing to
spend good money to get high quality assistance in
attracting clients.

only that, thousands of larger businesses selling
professional services such as computer
services, management consulting, banks, financial
services and many others are equally in need of
help with marketing. Even the services divisions of
huge multinational corporations need assistance
with their marketing and sales.

few service businesses (large or small) have a

prospects and turning them into clients on a
consistent basis. Most implement marketing

Being
an Action Plan Marketing Coach
The
essence of being a marketing coach is to support
other Independent professionals, service
professionals and internal marketing and sales
people to attract more clients to their
business. The purpose is not to do marketing
for them but to teach and empower them to do it for
themselves.
As
a marketing coach, you will help your clients with
the following seven Fast Track Marketing
Steps:

how to play it successfully.

Creating a powerful marketing mindset
that overcomes all the negative programming
about marketing and selling.
3.
Learning the language of marketing to
generate attention and interest.
4.
Developing a personalized marketing

and tactics such as networking,

These
seven steps are the heart of marketing for
Independent professionals and can be applied to
every single marketing activity, either offline or

through workshops, either one or two-days long.

addition, I will support you in customizing
programs that meet the needs of your market,

turn-key marketing plan that includes all the
marketing materials you'll need to conduct your

You'll get all the written material for your web
site for all of the programs listed above. We
can supply it in html format and all you have to
do is pop it into your web site. You just need
to add sales links and we provide all the
resources for setting up a shopping cart
system.

Workbooks
and worksheets to use with your
clients.
These will all be provided online. You can
simply forward them to your clients and program
participants or print them out for use as
workshop workbooks.
3.
Online Marketing
Software.
This
is new.
It will enable your clients to keep track of all
their marketing work and plans in one place and
update them whenever they want.
4.
Written
Marketing Action Plans for every important
marketing
activity.
This will include plans for networking,
publishing, eZine, speaking, selling and

You'll receive logo marks to authenticate that

Each month we add 1,000 or more new subscribers
to our email database. These become prospects
for your services. I will proactively market the
services of the Action Plan Marketing Coaches
through the weekly More Clients eZine and
through a monthly email listing current programs
offered by the Marketing Coaches.
8.
Over
two hundred articles that can be used on your
web site or used in your own eZine.
We'll
include the instructions and templates for an
eZine of your own and include training on how to
get it up and running.
You'll
have everything you need to attract new clients
and to help your clients develop successful

The
Action Plan Marketing Coaches Certification
Program
The
Certification Program is a comprehensive
program designed to teach you the Seven Fast
Track Steps and then teach you how to teach it to
others.
What
you will learn can be divided into two broad
categories:
Every marketing methodology proven to attract
more clients to a professional service
business. You'll have all the tools you'll
ever need to attract all the clients you can
handle. These methodologies will include offline
and online marketing approaches.
Instructions and guidance in how to work
successfully with clients. You'll learn how
to work with clients one-on-one, in group
programs and in workshops. You'll be confident
that you can teach your clients how to be
successful marketers and you'll have the
information, systems, tools and materials to
help them every step of the way.
The
program consists of the following three
parts:
1.
Fast Track to More Clients Program
(2-3
months)
This program teaches the foundational
material you'll use in your own marketing as
well as the material you'll teach to your
clients and program participants. You will
study the materials for this program online.
This
is an intensive and in-depth program in itself.
It will give you all the concepts,
principles, and practices to successfully
attract clients to a professional service
business. It will prepare you to work with
clients and to lead programs. This program takes
six to eight weeks to complete.
2.
The
Certification Workshop
(4-days)
This is our 4-day intensive training workshop.
In this program (held live in the SF Bay Area)
you'll be trained how to teach all the Action
Plan Marketing Programs (above) and you'll also
develop your own personalized marketing action
plan. Dates are April 26 to April 29, 2008
(Sat-Tues).
In
the first two days of the workshop, you will
actually stand up and deliver the material
you've been studying the previous two months.
You'll discover that these principles are both
powerful and easy to teach.
3.
Certification
Coaching
Program
(9-months)
Once you complete the Certification Workshop,
you'll join the intensive Certification Coaching
Program. The group will meet two times a month
by teleconference and in individual phone
sessions. This program, based on my Marketing
Action Groups, will get your marketing and
business off to a fast start. Starts the week
after the Certification Workshop.
The
Support Program is really the heart of the
Certification Program. This is where you'll
work to put your marketing plans into action,
get new clients and start working with them.
You'll be supported every step of the way with
your fellow Marketing Coaches and by me
personally through individual coaching sessions.
In
addition, you will get:

Annual
Conference
Each year we'll have a conference for all Action
Plan Marketing Coaches. We'll have speakers,
hands-on workshops and skill-building clinics.
The conference in 2008 will be in September.
5.
Manuals
and Materials
You'll
get every product and program I've ever created.
This includes the InfoGuru Marketing Manual,
Marketing Mastery Program on CD, the Action Plan
ToolKit and Web Site ToolKit. If you already
have these, we'll credit you for them.
6.
Workbooks
for Clients or
Participants
As a new licensee, you'll receive workbooks and
marketing software for your first clients. We'll
provide these online for easy access.
All
of the above training and materials are included in
your license fee. After your first year, there
will be an affordable membership fee to the Action
Plan Marketing Coaches Association that will cover
the cost of the Annual Conference and all other
support programs.
Eligibility
and The Application Process
Not
everyone is eligible or suitable for the
Certification Program. Successful applicants
will have some solid business experience and
training. Such as:
Successful Entrepreneurs
Sales and Marketing Professionals
Certified Coaches
Business
graphic designers and writers
Practicing Management Consultants
Experienced Training Professionals
Other Licensed Professionals
Graduates of my Marketing Action Groups and
Workshops

Specifically, these are the requirements to
participate in the program.
1.
You must already be successfully self-employed
for at least two years as an Independent
Professional (coaching, consulting, training,
etc) or have prior business, marketing and
selling experience.
2.
You must be making an income of at least $40,000
per year in your own business.
3.
You are interested in growing your business to
$250,000 or more.
4.
You have used and applied, to some degree, the
materials in one or more of these programs: The
InfoGuru Marketing Manual, the Web Site ToolKit,
the Fast Track to More Clients Program or the
Marketing Action Groups.
Please
note that I have some flexibility in these
requirements, however the Certification
Program is not for everyone and you need to be
well prepared to take your business to a whole
new level of success.
Participation
in this program will be limited. Although my
goal is to certify many people in the next few
years, I don't expect to train more than 25 in
2008.

What
can you earn?
In
working with any individual client you can make
from $2500 to $5000 (or more in some cases).
Most clients are not very long term - typically
from 4 to 8 months. If you decide to go the
individual route, you can be working with 10 or
more clients per month. That's typically $5,000 to
$10,000 income per month. You can fill your
practice to this level in 3 to 9 months.
If
you opt to work with groups (the best format is
the Marketing Action Groups), you can earn $1500 to
$2000 per participant for the full program. If you
have a program with 6 to 12 participants (about
maximum) you can earn from $9,000 to $24,000 per
group.
If
you are ready to market and sell programs to larger
businesses and corporations, the sky is the
limit. Offering an internal program to a
company who offers high-end services can demand
fees in excess of $5,000 per participant.
In
addition to this, most of the Marketing Coaches are
finding that they are immediately attracting more
clients for their existing businesses. (Most
offer other professional services.) They have been
able to apply the marketing principles successfully
and accelerate their business growth.
I
do need to emphasize, however, that I cannot
promise that you will achieve these results.
You may do worse, you may do better. Your results
will depend upon your individual efforts. But this
will give you an idea of what's possible as a
Certified Action Plan Marketing Coach.
I
will, however, do as much as possible to support
your marketing efforts and help you get clients and
fill programs, including posting a
listing on the Action Plan web site on the
Coaches
Page
and also sending out a monthly email listing any
programs you are conducting.
The
Certification Fee
The
Certification fee is $10,000. This includes the
license to facilitate the Action Plan Marketing
Programs, all currently published Action Plan
Marketing products and programs, the four-day
Certification Workshop and the nine-month
Certification Coaching Program.
Of
this, $3,000 is payable before the Certification
Workshop and the remainder is due is seven monthly
installments of $1,000. If you have previously
purchased from Action Plan Marketing any programs,
manuals, workshops, etc. prior to the Certification
Program, you get 100% credit for those materials
and what you paid is subtracted from your
Certification fee. It addition, you will receive
$1,500 worth of Client Workbooks as part of your
Certification fee.
I
understand that the Certification fee is a
substantial investment. I also know that if
this is something you want to pursue, you can
manage it quite easily. We promise that you will
get substantially more value than your investment.
Most certification programs give you a workshop,
some training and some materials and wish you good
luck. We work with you intensively for almost a
year to ensure that you succeed.

How are you accepting people into this
program?

After receiving your application, I'll contact you
to set up a phone appointment to discuss your
participation in the program. In that call,
we'll determine if the program is for you. I'll
answer any questions you may have.

Are the Action Plan Marketing Programs really
applicable to larger service businesses as well as
Independent professionals?
A.
I didn't think so for a long time! But then I
discovered that many people in larger companies
were successfully using this material to attract
more clients. It's not appropriate to all
businesses, but any business that offers some kind
of professional service. For larger companies, this
is usually a business-to-business
service.
Q.
How is this program different than other marketing
certification programs?
A.
The big difference is the depth of material and the
training you receive. You should consider this
as a graduate level program designed to not just
give you permission to lead the Action Plan
Marketing Programs but to fully equip you to be a
successful marketer of your services who can help
others do the same.
This
certification program includes an intensive year of
training and support. It's not a quick,
one-weekend workshop. That won't equip you for
anything. There are more and more so-called
certification programs, but they don't have the
track record, methodology, training or personalized
coaching that I offer.
Once
you're licensed to market and train in our programs
you'll have all the marketing information and
support you'll need.
Q.
Will other study materials be required in the
program?
A.
All the Action Plan Marketing materials will be
available to you as a licensee. In addition,
we'll encourage you to build a library of the most
useful books on marketing and sales. I am
interested in developing true professionals who
know what marketing is and how it works.
Q.
Can you tell me how much money I'll earn as an
Action Plan Marketing Coach?
A.
Above are listed some possible scenarios.
However your success will depend on your
efforts. We can only promise that you will get the
support you need to be successful. We will teach
you to walk your talk! It is our goal that every
licensee pay back, at minimum, their licensing fee
through new client work generated in the first
year. You'll receive more information on this once
you apply.
Q.
Am I expected to be a full time Action Plan
Marketing Coach?
A.
No, but you may choose to. Many will make this
a full time profession. Others will offer our
programs part time and integrate the Action Plan
Marketing Programs into your current work as a
coach or consultant.
Q.
If I apply, will I definitely be accepted into the
program?
A.
Not necessarily. After I receive your
application I will interview you personally and
learn about your goals and your intentions. I also
need to know about your background and your
capacity for success as a marketing coach. This is
definitely not for everyone and not everyone is
accepted.
Q.
Will I get personal coaching from
you?
A.
Yes. For anyone in the Support Program I will
be available by phone and will set up appointments
as necessary. You'll also get support and coaching

licensing fees?

We will collect fees for workbooks (which are
required for all program participants.) You can
build the fees for these materials into each
program. We will track your use of workbooks by
clients on a monthly basis. All materials will be
delivered online. We will not be paid a percentage
of the business you bring in unless we send the
business to you directly.

Are licensees also allowed to be affiliates for the
Action Plan Marketing Products?
A.
Yes, and we'll create a special product page for
your web site. You will earn commissions for
sales of all products.

How
will Action Plan Marketing support the Marketing
Coaches in Getting Clients?
A.
In addition to the nine months of marketing
coaching and support, all Marketing Coaches
will be featured on our Marketing
Coaches
page. In addition, links to the coaches and
programs will be offered in the weekly More Clients
ezine. We have generated dozens of leads for
marketing coaching in this way.
Q.
When does the next program start?
A.
As soon as you are accepted and pay your licensing
fee deposit. The first step is to study the
Fast Track to More Clients Program. Then the
Certification Training Workshop is currently
scheduled for September 27 - 30 (Sat to Tues) 2008.
You should be enrolled by August 15, 2008 in order
to have time to complete your preparation
work.

Do you have a program scheduled for the spring
of 2009?
A.
The fall program will be at the end of April
2009, The date is tentatively April 25, 26, 27,
28.
